With the VTech VS112-3 3-Handset Expandable Cordless Phone featuring, Bluetooth Connect to Cell and Smart Call Blocker, you won’t have to worry about unwanted calls waking you up in the middle of the night or tying up the line. Robocalls are automatically blocked from ever ringing through—even the first time. You can also permanently blacklist any number you want with one touch. Bluetooth Connect to Cell technology on this cordless phone system lets you receive cell and/or landline calls from one home phone system. With a touch of a button, enjoy the high-tech benefits your smart phone offers. Even if your smart phone is in a different room, you can still access Siri or Google Now from the cordless handsets. Place a call, write or read a text and perform all the other actions these services offer.
SMART CALL BLOCKER This system lets you block nuisance callers on the spot with one touch. You can permanently blacklist up to 1,000 numbers. What’s more, it can filter robocalls and unwanted call while allowing welcome calls to get through. For screen out robocalls, set it to ask the callers to press the pound key. For screen out unknown callers, set it to ask the callers to record their names and press the pound key. After your caller completes the request, the phone rings and announces the caller’s name. You then can choose to block or answer the call, or forward the call to the answering system. .Connectivity technology: RJ11
BLUETOOTH CONNECT TO CELL Make and receive calls from your cellular plan while enjoying the comforts of a home phone. Pair up to 2 cell phones and connect 2 cell phones, or one cell phone and one BLUETOOTH headset for use with landline calls. With a touch of a button, enjoy the high-tech benefits your smart phone offers. Even if your smart phone is in a different room, you can still access Siri or Google Now from the cordless handsets. Place a call, write or read a text and perform all the other actions these services offer.
DIGITAL ANSWERING SYSTEM WITH VOICE GUIDE This cordless system includes a digital answering machine that has a LED message counter, and records up to 22 minutes of incoming messages, outgoing announcements and memos. A built-in voice guide can help you to set up the system easily.
LARGE 2-INCH SCREEN, BIG TEXT, LIGHTED KEY PAD High-contrast text on the extra-large 2 inch screen makes it easy to read incoming caller ID or call history records. Plus, the enlarged font and extra-large and lighted handset keypad allows for easy dialing in low-light conditions. This feature is especially helpful for those who are visually impaired.
SPEAKERPHONE and VISUAL RINGER This cordless system has built-in a full-duplex speakerphone on handset allowing both ends to speak – and be heard – at the same time for conversations that are more true to life. Also designed with a lighted up visual ringer on top of the handset for noisier environments, or for those with weakened hearing.
Connectivity technology: RJ11

Blocks Annoying Calls
We used to be so inundated with robo calls and spam calls that we considered cutting the cord on our landline. But this phone puts an end to all that and once again our home is quiet and unbothered by these annoying calls. Despite the instructions being confusing, two calls to tech support answered all my questions and I was all set up to block all robo and sales calls. Callers must announce themselves and press # to be announced. Once I hear the announcement I’m told I can press “1” to answer the call, “2” to answer the call and place the caller on the safe list so next time their call goes right through with no announcement and they don’t have to press #, press “3” to block the call and never hear from that caller again, or press “4” to send call to answering system. There are lots of other ways to add callers to a safe list or a block list, too, but I keep it simple.

Vtech replaced the product when the base unit died after four (4) months…It was the power cord…
Not much else to say. Four (4) after purchase, the base unit quit working, so no more ringy-dingy. I would avoid this item unless you see an update where the vendor made it right.Vtech sent a replacement unit. The base was fine, but the power cord had quit supplying power. Once I plugged in the new power cord, the original unit worked as before.

Painful design
I got this set to move away from one with soft buttons which inevitably break over time. Boy, was I wrong. The design of this set seems purposefully done to torture the user as much as possible.Cons:* The handsets are SLOW to react to user input (e.g. when you scroll through the missed calls, it’s slower than one per second). This is by far the worst point, since it affects everything else.* When you enter a number, then pause for a few seconds without dialing (e.g. to look for something), the handset decides it waited long enough for you and erases everything you typed, without any way to get it back other than typing the number again. This might seem like a small thing until you are trying to call a number as you hear the digits from somewhere, and then quickly stop to write down some info you will need in the call.* The missed calls obscure voice messages, so until you clear all the missed calls you won’t know whether you have any messages.* There is no way to look just at missed calls, so if you missed one a while ago you have no choice but to _slowly_ scroll one entry at a time through the call log until you find the culprit.* It doesn’t have voice announcement. Until now, I didn’t realize how useful this was to hear who is calling without interrupting your work to look.* Only a couple of years down the road, the microphones on the handsets mysteriously stopped working. In the darkness of your home, nobody can hear you scream.* No clip to hang it to your shirt while talking and working around the house.Pros: you can use it for basic function, sometimes.

Battery life is horrible and the handsets loses connection to base periodically!
8/29/23 Update: Now when I have multiple voicemails I can’t simply delete the whole lot by hitting the delete key twice. I have to go each message and delete them individually. This was not the case until yesterday. This phone system is absolutely the most regrettable purchase I’ve ever made!7/23/23 Update: I would not wish this phone onto my worst enemy!!! It is horrible beyond anything. I am now going to waste money throwing this garbage out and go back to using my old Panasonic set which the only reason I was getting rid of was the short battery life. Unfortunately, this brand new VTech set has even shorter battery life and a host of many, many other issues. The Panasonic set still works perfectly, I just have to recharge the handsets every day.I bought this set to replace our previous Panasonic set that also had the ability to connect cell phones to it. The older set’s batteries started to go so I bought this VTech set. At first all was fine but in the last couple of months of using it (I’ve only been using it for 4 months), the battery life on the handsets is horrible. We barely use the phone and get perhaps 4-6 junk calls daily. Based on that we are recharging the batteries every couple of days. That is pretty bad for a brand new phone.Periodically we will go make a call and the handset will tell us that its not connected to the base, even though we are within 15 feet of the base. For this I usually swap out the handset with the one that is sitting on the base.Today we experienced a new problem. Went to make a call and no dial tone. Tried another handset and same thing. I attached out wired phone and did get dial one so confirmed that the issue was not with the phone service but with the VTech base unit. I unplugged it for 30 seconds, plugged it back in and let it “boot” up. After that we had dialtone.I really would stay clear from this phone set.

Screens Robo calls!
We got this system to replace our old answering machine/phone that quit after a storm. I liked the fact that there were two phones so we could now have a phone upstairs. It also said it blocked spam and robo calls. I was happy to see that! We sometimes get 12 a day and even though we don’t answer them, they still ring through. Well, not anymore! The phone just blocks them. I see on the phone that they were blocked and the number that called. Then I just clear that off of the phone. With this being an election year, the number of these calls is only going to get worse! And it’s now blissfully silent at our house! This was VERY easy to set up. And I also have set up numbers that can ring through and others are given the option of announcing who is calling or going to the answering machine and leaving a message. We are glad we bought this!

I bought this set to replace our older Panasonic set. I love the call screening feature the best. Now only calls you want get through. No more robocalls or scam callers. It works very well. The sound quality is very clear too. We bought one more extension for downstairs and was very easy to add on. I would defenately recommend them to anyone looking for the call block features.
