    I wanted a cheap smartphone to replace a Samsung Galaxy A12 that had seen too much wear & tear. This TCL A30 seemed like a good option, since it has the same amount of storage space and RAM, and a fair-sized battery for the price range. I paired it with a case (ASIN: B0BR6ZBQGD) and have been very happy with it. Honestly, I like the compact size relative to my previous Galaxy A12 more, and while downgrades in terms of the smaller battery, slower charging, missing Samsung apps, and lower resolution camera are noticeable, I don’t really mind them, since all the essential features for me are still present in this phone and all my apps and contacts were easy to transfer over.UPDATE (September 2023): I work a rough and dirty job, and an accumulation of dried mud in the charging port eventually rotted out the silicon component of the micro usb, meaning the phone could no longer be charged. I might attempt some hobbyist electronic repairs on it down the line, but for now I decided to shell out the money for a rugged military-grade phone with wireless charging capacity as a replacement. This TCL A30 was a very good budget phone, but unfortunately wasn’t built to endure my lifestyle.

    Ultimately, professional response to issue connecting phone to carrier.
    Could not activate phone with carrier. After some back and forth with Amazon and E-Kings(shipper) a fair resolution was achieved.

    Something that would work would be nice!
    I got this phone it’s horrible I’m returning it! The messages from phone don’t alert you. So ur basically winging it. The sounds say pick this or that. Well the phone makes two sounds 1 sound for any notifs n one for the finger. The cord was to small it just falls out of the phone. This phone is useless. I pity the next purchaser! Good luck cuz they suck……

    I was so pleased with this friend and then I started seeing it at Walmart all of a sudden so it’s up and coming the phone lasted Me 2 years and I’m hard on phone but I’m not very Tech inclinated, sure I watch YouTube from time to time use my Google Maps Etc but that’s all and it didn’t everything I said after 2 years it crap the bed I’m sure it was something id done to it. It got me by in a pinch really good. And brand new, so

    Not worth the money
    No battery life, I bought 2 for my kids just to use with Mint mobile, as just phone so I could reach them. I told them it would not have much memory but the battery life for both was max 3 hours. This made the phones just a brick in their pocket unless they found somewhere to charge them when they were out.

    I bought a TCL A 30 brand new, well I had it about a year dropped it cracked the screen, instead of getting a different phone I ordered the same phone from e Kings they’re called who sell on Amazon. Phone got delivered, contacting my provider waited for a new chip to put in the phone so they could check it out it was unlocked refurbished I guess and so I ordered a TCL a30 but when I go to put my apps in my banking apps as I use everyday it tells me it won’t accept them because it’s a different version how can you advertise a TCL A:30 it’s all different version of it change the software isn’t that like against the law or false advertising so now I got to wait for them to either get a refund meanwhile I’m on a fixed income permanently partially disabled taking care of my dad who’s 90 years old if I go out how’s he going to get a hold of me something happens or he needs something what a nightmare this turned into. I would recommend not buying from e Kings who sell on Amazon or be very wary of them.
