    Time to replace my old UMIDIGI A9 Pro
    I purchased this phone to replace my old UMIDIGI A9 Pro. Compared to the A9, this phone has a slightly larger screen and a longer battery life. It came nicely packaged like the A9 but with an US charger instead of an European. Camera is 50Mpx compared to 48Mpx. Storage is 128GB storage instead of 64GB. Video streaming was very smooth, sound quality was decent, and comes with the latest Android 13.What I didn’t like about the phone was the FM radio feature, it was barely functional but I don’t listen to the radio on my phones. I wished it came with a 3.5mm headphone jack like the A9, inconvenient if you use a wired headphone and needs to charge at the same time.

    Rugged case, solid performance and 3 cameras
    The mil-std rugged case is nice, but I still use another case protector for additional protection. Memory is 8 GB + additional 8 GB with added TF card. Storage of 128 GB is super. Performance can lag at times, but it is a 4G-technology product. Very pleased with this phone, overall. Use T-Mobile as carrier. Just be mindful that some others, such as Cricket, do not support this phone. Price was nice at around $160, and I am making payments.

    Long battery life, big screen and storage, but performance is low-end
    First and foremost, this phone is beautiful to look at. It’s got a tactical look and feel to it and just from the outside looks like a really high-end phone. It feels really nice in your hand and the screen is nice and bright. However, looks are only part of the equation for a phone. Below is a breakdown of each aspect of the phone.Camera: (from Pro and Portrait modes)1. 50 MP – Highest resolution but provides the least appealing picture. Soft and diluted.2. Pro – You can change settings and fine tune your camera app. Pretty good results for but web only.3. Portrait – Probably the best camera setting on the phone with the best image results.Note: low light is really grainy and bad. This phone is made for outdoors photography only. The pictures were taken mid morning with full sunlight to get a good picture.Gaming:Gaming on this phone is doable, but your gameplay will be subpar. The graphics on this phone are underwhelming and gameplay is choppy on almost all games. On Madden Mobile, compared to the iPhone I have, the performance is about 50% of what the iPhone can do (less detailed models, choppy framerates, and lots of screen hanging). You can play games like solitaire or other less intense games and it will be fine, but don’t expect any newer games to run well.Video playback:This was the biggest disappointment for me. Playing back videos on YouTube was limited to 1080p in Fullscreen. Anything higher than that and the phone would hang and struggle to play the video. The smoothest playback is 480p, but that’s SD quality. Watching anything 4k on the phone results in laggy/stuttering performance from Netflix to Amazon Prime video.At the end of the day, you get what you pay for. If I was looking for a cheaper phone with a big screen, I might look at this device. But if I wanted to play a little game, watch a little video, or do some work on my phone, I would not use this device. It’s nice to look at, but there’s a big performance dip.Note: Phone does not get hot under heavy use, so that’s a major plus.

    Good phone for a cheap data plan
    I got this phone as a low-end phone to use while traveling internationally. With a data SIM card for the country I’m visiting and an Internet phone account, I’ll have adequate data and calling capabilities at a modest price.(Not sure what “8+8” is trying to say in the posting – it comes with 8GB of RAM. For headphones, it’s Bluetooth-only, no 3.5mm port. Use dual-SIMs or a SIM and an SD/TF storage expansion card.)

    So I have owned this phone for a few weeks now and I have no issue. I needed a waterproof phone after my old UMIDIGI got wet in my pocket. The performance is good enough. I am not a heavy phone user and use this for peace-of-mind with the occasional phone call, picture taking, texting, banking, youtube video, and as a music player. I purchased a case and screen protectors for the phone as added protection. I hope to own this for another 3 years. Battery life is good; with Wifi (phone), bluetooth, and Location on, I can get 5-7 days on a charge. It is not 5G capable and I notice that the reception is not as strong as my previous phone though. I find myself with no bars more often than my other phone (-1 star).

    Bin zufrieden, brauchte ein Zweithandy!Macht zuverlässig was es soll. Mit einem Klick lässt sich der Arbeitsspeicher verdoppeln. In der Hand macht es ein sehr guten Eindruck. Navigation, WLAN und Telefonie funktionieren einwandfrei. Bluthooth koppelt einfach und schnell. Musik spielt sauber und klar. Wie haltbar die Tasten sind wird sich zeigen, wenn die Hardware genauso gut ist wie bei bei meinem Umidigi Bison GT Pro, wovon ich ausgehe, mache ich mir keine Sorgen.Kaufempfehlung!
